Science and society - some reflections

An AllChemE seminar, entitled 'science and society - some reflections', will take place in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, on 16 December.

The guest speaker will be Jean-Marie Lehn, winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 1987.

An AllChemE seminar, entitled 'science and society - some reflections', will take place in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, on 16 December.

The guest speaker will be Jean-Marie Lehn, winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 1987.

Chemical and physical sciences have had a huge impact on living conditions, but changes have been perceived as unnatural by some sections of society. The seminar will address informing both the public and decision makers, providing them with the knowledge to assess the potential impact of technology on society, and to accept that a degree of freedom is necessary for scientific research.For further information, please visit:
