Belgium
The "European Nervous System (ENS) Conference", to be held in Brussels on 9-10 March 1994, will provide a forum for presenting many of the major experiences encountered within the EU's research and technological development programme for the establishment of trans-European networks between administrations.

ENS is the specific RTD programme of research and development in the field of telematic systems in areas of general interest (1990-1994). Its aim is to stimulate the Europe-wide development of standardized and harmonized communications networks, enabling applications and value added services to be embedded within European organizations.

The Conference aims to share the results achieved to date with decision makers from within the public services of the European Economic Area. The people attending this conference will be drawn from the major governmental and industrial organizations of European States including the Member States of the EU and the other States within the European Economic Area (EEA). Representatives of ENS projects will also be present.

In addition, the ENS Conference will provide opportunities for the discussion of future research work and the formulation of initiatives.
