The EU funded Aquarec project is organising an international workshop on the 'implementation and operation of municipal wastewater re-use plants', to take place on 11 and 12 March in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Aquarec project has already mapped more than 3,000 re-use facilities worldwide and is performing a detailed survey on management practices at a large number of selected facilities. The workshop builds on the experiences of water utilities in charging for producing and distributing reclaimed water.

Participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to learn and discuss operational water reuse strategies with respect to ownership, funding opportunities, public acceptance, water quality control and failure management. Experiences with urban and agricultural applications will be presented.For further information, please consult the following web address:
