A lunch time presentation on the socio-economic importance of chemistry in Europe will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels on 28 January.

Dr Simon Campbell, President Elect of the UK's Royal Society of Chemistry and co-developer of Viagra from his time as senior Vice President for worldwide discovery at Pfizer, will give the presentation.

The event forms part of the 'AllChemE seminars...where science meets society' series, and is being organised in conjunction with the European mine, chemical and energy workers' association (EMCEF), under the patronage of UK MEP David Bowe.For further information, please visit:
