Bridging the gap in environmental knowledge

An Irish Presidency conference on mobilising knowledge for the benefit of the environment will take place in Dublin, Ireland from 28 to 30 April.
Entitled 'Bridging the Gap', the event will chart progress on environmental information and identify knowledge gaps. Parallel sessions will cover the environment and human health; climate change; impact assessment; biodiversity and land use; and information needs.
The conference will conclude by addressing the question 'How can scientific, technological and policy opportunities be used to progress effective integration and action on the environment?', and by looking at environmental research beyond the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
The event is aimed at policy makers, those involved in organising research or environmental monitoring, and those working to communicate environmental knowledge to policy makers and the public.For further information, please visit:
