Education through research - the university concept

A panel discussion on 'Education through research - the university concept' will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 12 May.
The discussion is intended to illuminate the role of research in engineering higher education, and to discuss to what extend it corresponds to the Bologna Process. Panellists will include representatives from the Ministry of Science and Research in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the European Commission, research organisations and industry.
It is hoped that the discussion will enable the drafting of a roadmap for university-level institutions, describing how they can specifically contribute to the development of a European Higher Education Area.
