Congress on 'biotechnology: state of the art and prospects of development', Moscow

The third Moscow international congress will examine the subject 'biotechnology: state of the art and prospects of development' when it convenes in Moscow, Russia, from 14 to 18 March 2005.

The congress is intended to present participants with a view of various fields of cutting-edge biotechnology. The scientific programme for the event includes plenary sessions on 'biotechnology and fundamental research' and 'problems of biosafety and bioethics', as well as parallel sessions on biotechnology applications in various fields, including:

- medicine;
- agriculture;
- industry;
- environment;
- foodstuffs;
- biocatalysis;
- biogeotechnology;
- innovation;
- education.
