International workshop on mercury, air quality and human health
The 'International workshop on harmonization of mercury measurements methods and models to assess source-receptors impact on air quality and human health' will bring together source term and transport scientists with human health and toxicology specialists to increase cooperation in these research areas. The aim is to produce a report, to be presented at an international conference on mercury as a global pollutant, to be held in Slovenia in July.
The topics to be discussed will include:
- international trade of mercury and its use on a global scale;
- development of the EU Mercury Strategy;
- European mercury research in the past and current Framework Programmes;
- monitoring and modelling atmospheric mercury species in support of local, regional and global modelling;
- Mercury emissions from anthropogenic sources worldwide: current status and future scenarios.For further information, please visit:
