The EU project RISER (Roadside infrastructure for safer roads) will hold a workshop in Delft, the Netherlands, on 15 June.

The event will focus on analysing the state of the art of road design and redesign activities in Europe. Participants will gather and exchange knowledge on the most cost-effective way of creating roadside 'recovery zones' and 'safety zones'. The workshop will also place emphasis on the harmonisation of different European practices for the definition of roadside obstacles and hazards, and the corrective strategies to eliminate them.
