The international bureau of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, together with the German life sciences national contact point (NCP) and Senter, is organising two German-Dutch information and partnering days on food quality and safety research. The events will take place in Münster, Germany, on 28 and 29 June.

The bilateral events, which will feature high level speakers from the European Commission and both countries' national ministries, have several key aims. These include:
- presenting European as well as Dutch-German perspectives on food and nutrition research;
- informing participants of the forthcoming third call for proposals under the 'food quality and safety' priority of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6);
- facilitating the search for partners in EU funded research projects;
- giving potential participants the opportunity to discuss project ideas individually with the relevant NCPs.

The events will be particularly suited to individuals from universities, research organisations and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and part of the programme will be devoted to opportunities and support measures for SMEs aimed at facilitating their participation in EU funded research.For further information, please:
