The French 'Cité des sciences et de l'industrie', in collaboration with the British Council, and the German and Italian Embassies, is organising an international conference on 'brain drain, brain gain, new challenges', to be held in Paris on 30 June.

European Commissioner for Research, Philippe Busquin, will attend, and will launch the European Mobility Centres Network.

Topics will include:
- international mobility in scientific careers: constraints, choices, importance;
- brain drain or circulation: facts, figures, testimonies and prospects;
- which concrete initiatives can be used to promote the attractiveness of research at the national and European levels?
