In the context of the EU funded EURONAT research project, a public workshop entitled 'Representations of Europe and the nation in 'old' and 'new' Member States - media, elites and citizens' will take place on 7 June in Brussels, Belgium.

The event will give researchers from the EURONAT project the chance to present their findings and policy recommendations, as well as enabling a dialogue between scientists, policy makers and NGOs.

Questions that will be raised during the workshop include:
- Are EU citizens naïve media consumers or do they develop their own complex views of European Integration?
- What do the media, elites and citizens of different Member States think about the Eastern enlargement and the common currency?
- Is European identity emerging in old and new Member States? Is it compatible with national identities?For further information, please contact:
