The European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS) is organising a colloquium on 'The challenge of sustainable growth: integrating societal expectations in business' to be held in Ghent, Belgium, from 27 to 29 September.

The event aims to tackle questions on a growing number of societal expectations placed on business, and it will focus on exploring how these expectations impact on management functions (governance, strategy, organisation and operations) and therefore disciplines in business education.

The EABIS colloquium is an integral part of a CSR Platform project, which is a Coordinated Action supported by the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) under the 'Citizens and governance in a knowledge-based society' thematic priority. The project will be launched on 1 September and will address the shortcomings of a fragmented and diffuse European CSR research agenda, by developing a structured and dynamic programme of cooperation between academic institutions, businesses and other stakeholders.For more information, please contact:
