Workshop to present best practice for boosting ICT competitiveness

The European Commission has organised a high level workshop in order to present examples of good national and regional polices for boosting the competitiveness of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. The event will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 16 September.
The workshop will examine strategies that support the competitiveness of the ICT goods and services industry, using examples from a benchmarking initiative launched by the Enterprise DG as part of a new industrial policy framework.
High level policy makers at national and regional level, ICT industry associations and academics will share their experiences of public polices aimed at increasing competitiveness in the ICT industry, and will discuss what lessons can be learned.For further information, please consult the following web address:
