Heat recovery from hot gas and water streams

A workshop on heat recovery from hot gas and water streams will be held in Budapest on 13 April 1994. The workshop is being organized by the Italian National Agency for New Technology, energy and the environment (ENEA) and will be held as part of the European Commission's (DG XVII) THERMIE programme which concentrate on promoting the efficient use of technology in the energy sector. To achieve this important objective, OPET has been established to link promotion activities in this area.
Increasingly the recovery of heat is being seen as an efficient and cost-saving method of reducing energy consumption as well as protecting the environment.
The purpose of this workshop is to exchange know-how on the different technologies which can have future application in Hungary. Topics for discussion include:
- The OPET Network and the role of the EC Energy Centre;
- Heat recovery from exhausts in industrial processes;
- Energy recovery from mechanically-polluted liquids in industrial streams.
