A technology transfer day will take place in Dublin on 14 April 1994. The event will present the results of the ESPRIT programme in the area of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and is being organized by the Irish VALUE Relay Centre. British and German companies which have patented research results in the CIM field will have the occasion to present them to interested Irish companies.

The event will include sessions on software technology transfer and support for technology exploitation.

Within the VALUE programme's aim of valorization of research results, CIM could prove to be one of the more interesting areas for RTD results exploitation benefiting European SMEs by means of technology transfer agreements. This trend has been demonstrated by the number of events on this subject which have been organized by the network of VALUE Relay Centres.

The Dublin presentation will cover:
- User-driven and configurable tool-set for CIM implementation in SMEs and strategy and performance measurements for SMEs (Kewill Systems Plc, UK);
-CIM decision support systems (Human Centres Systems Ltd, UK);
-CIM for multi-supplier operations within the European Automotive Industry (ACTIS GmbH, Germany).
