European research centres, universities and industry, with the support of the European Commission, are organising the European Marie Curie Conference 2005.

The conference will take place in Tuscany (Pisa/Livorno), Italy, between 28 and 30 September 2005.

The main purpose of this event is to give beneficiaries of Marie Curie contracts and fellowships the chance to share their scientific knowledge and experiences of mobility. They will also learn about and discuss current possibilities for further enhancing their career prospects within the European Research Area (ERA).

Conference participants will be able to develop communication and other complementary skills by presenting research results to non-specialist audiences, consisting of current Marie Curie fellows and researchers from a broad range of disciplines and sectors, as well as policy-makers and journalists. For further information, please consult the following web address: http://www.ifc.cnr.it/mariecurie/index.html(opens in new window)
