A seminar on how to prepare a technology business plan will take place at the Dublin (VALUE Relay Centre) VRC on 31 May 1994.

The aim of this seminar is to help technologists prepare a viable technology business plan for the commercial development of their research results.

The seminar is based on the booklet "Preparing a Technology Business Plan" (ISBN 92-826-4342-5) published by the European Commission's VALUE programme. The seminar is intended to help project leaders as well as senior research and technical personnel to present a convincing case to secure financing for the set-up or expansion of a business venture. It will help people in management to identify the fundamental questions and to obtain the essential information.

The morning session will outline the compilation of a business plan and the afternoon session will centre on a discussion of the plan.

The seminar is intended for those involved in research and development who wish to exploit the commercial potential of their work as well as programme coordinators for major national and European Union RTD programmes.

The Irish VRC at Forbairt is part of the EU funded network of 27 Centres throughout Europe which promotes wider participation in EU research and technology development programmes, and more importantly aims to stimulate the exploitation by European industry of successfully developed technology and processes within these programmes.
