A workshop entitled 'i2010 for digital inclusion and participation' will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 23 September.
Organised by the European Commission's DG Information Society and Media, this workshop will aim at setting the scene for i2010 initiatives in the field of inclusion. The workshop will provide an occasion for debate between stakeholders on relevant issues around eInclusion. Representatives from civil society, industry and academia will have the opportunity to exchange views with representatives of Member States and Commission services.
The mid-term review of the eEurope 2005 Action Plan, undertaken in 2003, identified eInclusion issues as a key challenge and called for actions in this field. This workshop will present the results of all initiatives launched during the last two years. At the event, the report drawn up by the Expert Section of the eEurope Advisory Group will also be presented.For further information, please consult the following web address:
