Workshop on technology options and opportunities for hydro-electric power in the Baltic States
The aim of the workshop and its accompanying panel exhibition is to provide an opportunity for manufactures, designers, civil engineers and local experts to examine developments and advancements in the field of hydro-electric power, to present their collective experience and to assess the requirements for hydro-electric power in the Baltic region.
The workshop will focus on the following issues:
- Potential of hydro-electric power in the Baltic region;
- Recent technological developments;
- Joint venture opportunities.
There will be three working sessions during the conference on each of the following:
- Current situation and expected future prospects for hydro-electric power in the Baltics;
- Modern hydro-electric power technologies;
- Technical implications;
- Financial considerations, business opportunities and available financing schemes.
A panel exhibition is planned for manufacturing companies who are interested in exhibiting their technological expertise and services.
This workshop is being organized by Exergia, which is a member of the OPET Network (Organizations for the Promotion of Energy Technologies). OPET links forty private and public organizations in the twelve Member States of the European Union plus thirteen European Energy Centres in Central and Eastern European countries. It was established by the European Commission's THERMIE programme for the promotion of European energy technologies
