The conference 'Key technologies for Europe' will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 19 and 20 September.

Organised by the European Commission's Research DG, this event seeks to chart a course forward for those Key Technologies that will help nourish European economic growth for years to come.

Over the past six months DG Research has been supporting an expert group that is looking at the issues of Key Technologies for Europe (Horizon 2015/2020). The 'Key Technologies' expert group has analysed the future of several key technologies which are all crucial for Europe's future.

The draft final report submitted by the expert group, 'Creative system disruption: towards a research strategy beyond Lisbon', will be debated during the conference, and Janez Potocnik, Commissioner for Science and Research, will open the event.For further information, please consult the following web address:
