A European conference on RNA interference, 'RNAi Europe 2005', will take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 28 to 29 September.

RNA interference has developed into one of the most important methods for analysing gene function and metabolic pathways in the past fifteen years. Following the success of the first edition, the leading European event for RNA interference will gather, in its second edition, experts from the institutional, academic and industrial sectors, to present timely information from current research through to commercial implementation of new technologies.

During the conference, a representative of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research will present the funding opportunities for life sciences research available through the 'Life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health' thematic priority (TP1) of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).For further information, please consult the following web address:
