The workshop 'Building bridges between fundamental and applied business disciplines on the role of business in society' will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 26 October.

Organised by the Copenhagen Business School (CBS), in partnership with the Centre for Corporate Values and Responsibility (CVR), as part of Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) CSR Platform project, the workshop aims to explore some of the barriers and opportunities for broadening the scope of CSR research. This will be done in discussion with leading scholars specialising in these areas, as well as representatives from applied business disciplines and fundamental disciplines from Europe and around the world.

Using stakeholder theory as a heuristic method in this workshop, participants will explore how the use of applied-fundamental research (AFR) can contribute to improving CSR research.For further information, please visit:
