A seminar on 'Future European research - Challenge for Czech science' will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 19 October.

Organised by the Czech Liaison Office for R&D (CZELO) in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union, the event will introduce representatives of two successful sectors of Czech research.

The director of the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine Prague (IKEM) will speak about Czech medicine research and the European Framework Programmes. The presentation will outline the activities and successes of the institute and its quest for participation in the upcoming Seventh Framework Programme.

The director of the Institute of theoretical and applied mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (UTAM) will talk on supporting cultural heritage within European programmes and other programmes.For further information, please contact:
