World summit on the information society and the role of local authorities

The second world summit of cities and local authorities on the information society will take place in Bilbao, Spain, from 9 to 11 November.
Through this Bilbao summit, local authorities will attempt to contribute to the setting in motion a world agreement in favour of digital solidarity that will bring together all players. The event is geared towards all those who are responsible for creating an information society that is accessible to all, which meets the needs of citizens, and which creates jobs and new professional powers.
The Bilbao summit will adopt a declaration and a plan of action which will reflect specific commitments adopted by local authorities and their partners.For further information, please visit:
