A conference entitled, 'Towards FP7 - A regional contribution on research in the field of agriculture, food and biotechnologies' will take place in Bucharest, Romania, on 29 and 30 November.
Organised by the Romanian Ministries of Education and Research and Agriculture, Forest and Rural Development, with the support of the European Commission, the event will focus on the countries from the Balkan region but will involve some EU Member States from outside the region.
The main purpose of the conference is to give the opportunity to each invited country and the European Commission to present its priorities, potential, needs and expectations in these areas of research.
Another aim is to create a meeting point for science and research, development and implementation. It will offer a forum for both EU and Balkan country experts to meet and network with a view to future joint activities.
The event will also provide an opportunity to raise awareness of current research projects and/or projects in preparation within the Sixth and Seventh Framework Programmes (FP6 and FP7) and hence, future funding opportunities.For further information, please contact:
