Technology transfer day on agro-food technologies

A two-day Technology Transfer Day - a VALUE Crossroad Day - on the subject of agro-food technologies will take place in Extremadura, Spain, on 5-6 May 1994.

The event is being organized by CDTI, the Spanish VALUE Relay Centre, with the aim of bringing research and technology development results in this area of agro-food research closer to the commercial community in the region of Extremadura which is an area of great agricultural resources.

The results which will be presented at the event will come from the Commission's life science programmes: BIOTECH, FLAIR, AIR, ECLAIR, CAMAR. Additional presentations will take place on the response and responsibility of Spanish organizations with experience in the field of agro-food technologies.

The event will be divided into categories of special interest to the region. There will be a presentation of results in the following areas:
- Plant breeding;
- Fresh produce and olives;
- Wine;
- Animal husbandry;
- Vaccines;
- Meat products.

The event at Extremadura will provide an opportunity to discuss future exploitation agreements between research and participating commercial interests.
