The Altran Foundation for Innovation is to reward the most innovative projects addressing global concerns on energy. An international, independent jury will award the prize of one year of technological and scientific consulting in June 2006.

To mark its tenth anniversary, the Altran Foundation for Innovation has chosen to reward one or several innovative projects dealing with energy issues. Four sub-categories have been identified: energy transformation and production, energy storage and transportation, energy optimisation and efficiency, and energy and the environment. Candidate projects can take the form of innovative products, processes or methodologies.

The award targets individual or team projects; those carried out by higher education establishments, universities, research centres, associations, companies, media and other private or public organisations

Candidates must illustrate the innovative characteristics of their project, as well as related and applied concepts. They must also show the project's scope, in terms of the population reached, its feasibility and its economic and social interest in the short, medium and long term.

Applications will be accepted from any of the European countries where Altran is based, as well as from the US. The deadline for applications for the 2006 award is 11 January. For further information, please visit:
