A conference entitled 'The age of simulation - learning and researching in the 21st century' will take place under the auspices of the Austrian Presidency of the EU in Linz from 12 to 14 January.

As the world is becoming more complex, due to phenomena such as non-linear, decentralised, non-predictable processes including labour market trends, international conflicts and stock markets, so science and research is becoming increasingly exposed to complexity. Simulation and network analysis is therefore being used more frequently with the aim of developing a better understanding of complex, dynamic systems and their underlying structures.

The event will include sessions on simulation and research, simulation with LOGO software and simulation and business.For further information, please consult the following web addresses:
