A workshop on design of national information society technology (IST) programmes in the context of coordinating the European Research Area (ERA) will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from 9 to 10 March.

The event is organised by NKTH, the Hungarian National Office for Research and Technology, in the framework of the CISTRANA project - the European initiative for the coordination of IST research and national activities.

The workshop is intended to give an opportunity to programme managers and staff looking to design new national programmes in IST to come together in order to reflect and to share best practice in areas including:
- design of national IST programmes in the context of ERA;
- initial experiences in setting up the first wave of IST ERA coordination initiatives mobilisation of national public funding;
- mobilising and integrating new EU Member State potential.

Representatives from the European Commission will participate in the workshop.For further information, please visit:
