The first session of the 'World congress for freedom of scientific research' will take place in Rome, Italy, from 16 to 18 February.

The meeting, promoted by a renowned group of Italian researchers and University Professors, will involve scientists, advocates, patients and decision-makers in a transnational debate addressing issues related to science, society, politics, law, the ethics of scientific research, technology, and the latest developments concerning stem cells. The congress is aimed at encouraging discussion of emerging threats against research, as well as possible initiatives to counter them.For further information, please visit:
