An international symposium on climate change research challenges, organised by the environment directorate of the Commission's DG Research, will be held in Brussels on 2 and 3 February.

The event is part of a series of consultation activities organised by the Commission to provide input into the preparation of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Recent achievements and the latest research results will be presented in the fields of climate change, climate change impacts, ozone depletion, observations and natural hazards.

The overall objective of the meeting is to discuss interactions between these fields of study, and formulate interdisciplinary research objectives. The event is by invitation only, and 140 participants from 25 countries have already confirmed their participation.For further information, please contact:
