Sustainable construction conferences

Three conferences on energy in building will take place during the Batibouw exhibition in Brussels, Belgium, on 3, 8 and 9 March.
The first event will address how to make construction sustainable and competitive. A round table discussion will bring together representatives from the construction sector, architects and organisations active in the field of sustainable construction.
The 8 March conference will ask whether energy management is a necessary evil. The event will include presentations on the European energy building directive, its implementation and experiences thereof; the Danish energy labelling system; and the results of a German initiative to promote energy savings.
The final conference will address the role of public authorities in energy management in buildings. The objective of this event is to use a series of presentations and a thematic workshop to illustrate the innovative actions and initiatives implemented by public authorities to promote energy saving and the use of renewable energy in buildings.
