Three conferences on energy in building will take place during the Batibouw exhibition in Brussels, Belgium, on 3, 8 and 9 March.

The first event will address how to make construction sustainable and competitive. A round table discussion will bring together representatives from the construction sector, architects and organisations active in the field of sustainable construction.

The 8 March conference will ask whether energy management is a necessary evil. The event will include presentations on the European energy building directive, its implementation and experiences thereof; the Danish energy labelling system; and the results of a German initiative to promote energy savings.

The final conference will address the role of public authorities in energy management in buildings. The objective of this event is to use a series of presentations and a thematic workshop to illustrate the innovative actions and initiatives implemented by public authorities to promote energy saving and the use of renewable energy in buildings. The event will also address methods of financing and institutional and legislative changes that are required.For further information, please consult the following web address:
