The vision paper of the Sustainable Farm Animal Breeding and Reproduction (EFABAR) Technology Platform will be launched in Paris, France, on 2 March
The paper, entitled, 'Sustainable farm animal breeding and reproduction: a vision for 2025' will address many of the issues facing the European farm animal breeding sector, such as ensuring sustainable production with low environmental impact and an affordable source of food. New technologies could be essential in improving the animal genome through selective breeding techniques.
The launch will also present a code of good practice, which places a premium on ethical standards. The event will be hosted by leading academics in the animal breeding sector and the European Commission.For further information, please visit:
