Research spin-offs as an engine for innovative companies

A seminar on the theme 'university and research spin-off: an engine to create innovative companies' will take place in Rome, Italy, on 23 and 24 March.
The event is intended to raise awareness of the increasing importance of company creation by universities and research centres. It is hoped that discussions, drawing on the experiences of researchers and policy makers, will succeed in identifying a successful research spin-off roadmap.
The European Commission's Head of Unit for innovation policy will participate in a session on the EU's innovation action plan.
