30 March 2006 - 30 March 2006
Germany
The University of Hamburg will host the European University Association spring conference from 30 March until 1 April 2006.

The conference aims to widen the debate on funding launched at EUA's March 2005 Convention of European Higher Education Institutions in Glasgow and developed at the October 2005 conference 'Research in European universities: strategies and funding'.

The conference will examine different types of funding available and their impact upon institutions. Discussions will address tuition fees and student support, the potential of private public funding partnerships and the effects of transparency. André Sapir, author of 'An Agenda for a Growing Europe', and former French Minister for Education and founder of Bologna process Claude Allègre, have been confirmed to speak. For further information, please
