Friends Of Europe have organised an 'Atlantic Rendez-vous' TV debate to discuss innovation and the transatlantic hi-tech marketplace. It will take place on 17 March at the European Business Summit in Brussels.

The debate will involve decision makers on both sides of the Atlantic, linked by satellite. EU companies supply half of foreign investment into the US, while US companies invest 14 times the figure invested in China in the EU.

However, the debate will address whether this is a genuinely healthy exchange. Confirmed speakers include David A. Sampson, US Deputy Secretary of Commerce, Karl-Friedrich Falkenberg, Deputy Director General of the Commission's DG Trade, and Jerzy Buzek MEP, former prime minister of Poland.For further information, please visit:
