IST Event 2006, Helsinki

The IST Event, the most important annual EU event in the field of information society technologies, will be held in Helsinki, Finland, from 21 to 23 November. A call for proposals for exhibitors, networking sessions and workshops at the event is currently open.
The conference programme will address two major issues:
- policy - how can governments ensure that information and communication technologies contribute to an innovative Europe?
- EU ICT research - exploring the content, objectives and practicalities of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
Under the open call, organisations can submit proposals for exhibits, networking sessions and workshops at the event. The proposal deadlines for the exhibition and networking calls are 21 April and 15 June respectively.For further information, please consult the following web address:
