A conference to discuss the eradication of chromium VI from car manufacturing will take place at the Haus der Technik in Essen, Germany, on 9 May.

The EU ELV-Directive states that no car manufactured in the EU may contain chromium VI after 1 July 2007. The conference aims to present and discuss new and environmentally-friendly approaches to metal-plating, and the impact that the change of technology will have on manufacturers, suppliers and the plating industries.

Speakers come from the automotive industry, parts and materials suppliers, equipment producer and the electro plating industry.For further information, please visit:
