The IST-Africa 2006 conference will take place from 3 to 5 May in Pretoria, South Africa.
Part of the IST-Africa Initiative, supported by the European Commission under the Information Society Technologies (IST) section of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), this is the first in a series of annual conferences aimed at narrowing the 'digital divide' which exists between Europe and Africa. More than 120 speakers from 33 countries will cover business and government case studies, technical and policy papers, and provide interactive workshops
The event will focus on applied IST in the eBusiness, eGovernment, eHealth, eLearning and ICT skills in general and for agriculture, giving attendees the opportunity to meet researchers from leading commercial, government and research organisations from around the world.For further information on IST-Africa, please visit:
