The European dimension in the aircraft industry

The European dimension in the aircraft industry will be the subject of an expert seminar at the Berlin Air Show ILA '94 on 31 May - 2 June 1994.
The seminar is being organized by DG XII/F-2 (Optimization of the energy transport system and aeronautical technology). One important function of the European Union is to contribute to the economic and political framework for the competitiveness of the European aeronautical industry and an efficient European air transport system. This is increasingly demonstrated through EU aeronautical research activities.
At the Berlin Air Show, four workshops will be organized by the Commission on the following themes:
- Hydrogen for aeronautics;
- The ECU, a currency for the European industry;
- The future of air traffic management for Europe;
- The potential of laminar flow.
