The Council of European Municipalities and Regions' general assembly will take place in Innsbruck, Austria, from 10 to 13 May 2006.
The event will be marked by a presentation by the EU Commission President José Manuel Barroso, along with input from MEPs and other representatives of the European Commission. Representatives from regions throughout Europe will also take part.
Workshops will supplement the main speeches, with the second day focusing on public services. The third day will focus on The European Charter for equality of women and men in local life, and invite delegates to sign it.For further information and to register, please visit:
