The European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) is hosting a science talk on the subject of stem cell research on 23 May in Brussels.

The talk, entitled 'Stem cell research - science and fiction' will be given by Professor Hans Robert Schöler, Director of the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Biomedicine at the Department for Cell and Developmental Biology in Münster. The event will be mediated by William C. Bown of ResearchResearch, a science publishing group.

The event is part of the series 'ScienceTalks@KoWi', which seeks to provide a discussion forum for controversial scientific topics, and brings together cutting-edge scientists, policy-makers, and other stakeholders at European level.

For each event, KoWi invites a top scientist, who opens the session by giving a presentation to challenge the audience to enter into discussion.For more information, please visit:
