A training workshop on designing and organising public deliberation on science and technology will take place from 26 to 28 June in Dresden, Germany.

The event will include general lectures, case studies, networking sessions and participatory exercises on how to develop public participation activities in the field.

It is designed for people from different fields who have a strong interest in public participation in science and technology, particularly those who may already have organised participatory exercises or are willing to do so, or people who simply want to learn more about the subject. The workshop is also for those who want to discuss the meaning and impacts of raising public participation in scientific activities for modern democracies.

The event is being hosted by CIPAST, a consortium funded under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) that promotes citizen participation in science and technology.For more information, please contact:
