A workshop on innovative interdisciplinary research will be held on 18 September in Pisa, Italy.
The event is organised by partners in the NEST-PROMISE (NEST-Promoting Research on Optimal Methodology and Impacts) project, a 'Specific Support Action' funded under the New and Emerging Science and Technologies (NEST) section of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) NEST.
The one-day workshop aims to provide an overview of the Italian, as well as other national and international approaches, to innovative interdisciplinary research. It will also be an opportunity for participating administrative staff, policy makers and other stakeholder to exchange experiences on existing national and international programmes similar to NEST.
The findings of a survey of research programmes that promote novel, ambitious, unconventional, and high risk research, conducted by NEST-PROMISE, will be presented.To read the workshop programme in full, please visit:
