Exchanging European experiences on research and innovation in a Nordic context

A conference entitled 'Investing in research and innovation - Exchanging European experiences in a Nordic context,' will take place from 16 to 18 October, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The conference aims to mobilise all relevant actors in preparation for the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). Participants will be invited to exchange experiences and discuss some of the following issues:

- strategic aspects of integrating the European Research and Innovation Area;
- human potential - researchers' careers and mobility;
- innovation, investments and commercialisation;
- research and innovation for regional growth - bringing regions faster into the knowledge economy.

Among those scheduled to speak are Antti Kalliomäki, Finnish Minister for Education; Danuta Hübner, European Commissioner for Regional Policy; Oystein Kare Djupedal, Norwegian Minister for Education and Research; and Janez Potocnik, Commissioner for Science and Research.
