The Prediction Of Waves, Wakes and Offshore Wind (POW'WOW) project, funded under the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), has organised a workshop to explore 'Best practice in the use of short-term forecasting of wind power', to take place on 25 October 2006 in Delft, the Netherlands.

Immediately after the workshop, the Sixth International Workshop on Large-Scale Integration of Wind Power and Transmission Networks for Offshore Wind Farms will begin, running from October 26 to 28.

The Best Practice workshop will include a brief history of short-term wind forecasting, an overview of Anemos installations, case studies of short-term forecasting studies and a session for new entrants into this field.For further information, please visit:
