Symposium on polymer electronics and nanotechnology, Sweden
The main focus of the symposium will be on the science and technology of the rapidly growing field of organic/polymer electronics. Leading international experts in organic synthesis, spectroscopy, device design and theory will present a thorough review of the present state-of-the-art in the field. A number of speakers from neighbouring nanotechnology fields are also invited in order to encourage crosspollination of ideas and innovative use of techniques.
The list of invited speakers includes two Nobel laureates in chemistry, Alan G. MacDiarmid and Alan Heeger, as well as the directors of several prominent research institutions.
The symposium is held to celebrate the 65th birthday of Professor William R. Salaneck of Linkoping University. As professor of Surface Physics and Chemistry, he has been instrumental in the foundation and development of research in Sweden on organic (opto)electronic materials and their applications.For more information, please visit:
