Europe's population is ageing fast. To address the latest challenges and opportunities in the field of ageing research, the European Conference on Ageing will take place in Innsbruck, Austria, between 27 and 30 November.
Medical advancements mean that positive interventions are possible in the following areas, although there will be particular emphasis on genomic and post-genomic technologies:
- genomics and proteomics of ageing;
- ageing research - lessons from model organisms;
- Age-associated dysfunction and diseases;
- oxidative stress and Ageing;
- translational research.
