Science, research and EU membership, Istanbul

A conference on science and research in the context of Turkey's accession to the EU will take place in Istanbul on 8 September.

EU Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik will open the conference, which is aimed at private sector representatives, universities and research centres.

The event will include a panel discussion on using science, technology and innovation competence as ways to improve competitiveness. Giancarlo Caratti from the EU's Joint Research Centre (JRC) will take part in the discussion.For further information, please visit:
